Gifts in wills

A gift in your will to Haematology Cancer Care has the power to transform the future of care for haematology patients at UCLH.

You can help us continue to deliver transformational treatment at UCLH through high-tech medical equipment, pioneering research projects, and specialist education for nurses across our service for patients with all haematology disorders and conditions.

A gift of just 5% of your estate, for example, could help us to:

  • Fund specialist training and education for haematology nurses. We see the enormous impact our funding of training and education has on the recruitment, retention, and development of our nurses. Our educated and experienced nurses and leadership deliver a consistent, high quality patient experience.
  • Fund life-changing research, like advancing CAR T-Cell Immunotherapy, the ultimate in bespoke, personalised medicine with immense potential. By funding two PHD students, donations to Haematology Cancer Care are already helping inform the design and development of next-generation CAR T-Cells, so the benefits are realised by future patients.
  • Establish national databases, like MASCOT, collecting, recording, and analysing treatment and outcomes for patients with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, increasing understanding of this rare condition. The new Lymphoma Registry will help drive forward outcomes for patients with T-Cell Lymphoma.
  • Provide state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring the best possible care. Our apheresis service, for example, is one of the largest nationally and provides life-saving therapeutic treatment for patients with all haematology disorders; by funding apheresis, ultrasound and Veinplicity machines, we have immensely improved treatment capacity and life experience for patients, particularly those requiring regular transfusions for sickle cell disease, stem cells donations and live saving treatments for TTP and myeloma.

Importantly, leaving a gift in your will can help us to plan for the future, and provide support where it is needed most for haematology patients and staff at UCLH.

“HCC was a huge part of our daily lives while Graham was a patient, and since his passing, the team has remained a real source of comfort and inspiration to me, together with my friends and family as the GT Fan Club; and I do as much as I can to support them! Graham and I wanted to make a provision to HCC as part of my updated will, which was simple to put in place and my solicitor was happy to advise how to manage the wording in a way that worked best for me. It means that I can gift money to HCC when I die, all as part of Graham’s ongoing legacy. I encourage others to do the same.”
