The London 10k 2025

A huge well done and thank you to our team of 33 runners who took on the Saucony London 10k earlier this July – you smashed it!

The team were amongst 17,000 runners who took over the capital on the 13th July, completing a 10k run past London’s most iconic sights.

We can’t thank our team enough – made up of patients at UCLH, friends, family, supporters, and UCLH staff – for taking on this challenge and for their incredible fundraising efforts. 2025 was a record year for the 10k, with over £30,267 raised so far!

Arthur Cary: “I first ran the London 10k for HCC in 2019 after making a BBC documentary called War In The Blood following two patients, Graham, and Mahmood, through a landmark clinical trial for CAR T-cell therapy at UCLH. The treatment is a huge breakthrough and is now available to NHS patients thanks to the contribution of Graham and Mahmood and others. I’m running again to continue supporting HCC and because my father is now receiving treatment for leukaemia so it feels even more personal.”

Alex Suber, and Summer Peet: “This past December I was suddenly diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was gutting news to receive, but the team at University College London Hospital (UCLH) was there for me from day one, rooting me on and providing me with the knowledge, strength, and courage to take on the fight.

Every step of the way, the haematology department provided Summer and I with incredible care and the certainty that things were going to be made right. The lows of chemo were low, but the doctors and nurses at UCLH provided compassionate care and advice to ensure we were looked after around the clock.

Three and a half months from the day we were first given the diagnosis, we walked out of the UCLH chemo ward with the biggest smiles on our faces. I’m now cancer-free (!!!) and it’s no exaggeration to say that the UCLH team saved my life. Summer and I could not be more grateful to all the nurses, doctors, administrators and care specialists so we’ve decided to run with them on TEAM HAEM!”

Our HCC cheer point was popular as ever too – thank you everyone who joined us to keep a lookout for our runners and give them a big cheer!

If you’re interested in joining the 10k team for 2026, please get in touch. Or, we have places available in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, Swim Serpentine, and more!
